التحديات والعقبات التي تواجه المكتبات الجامعية في دعم التنمية المستدامة

Abstract

     تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على تعريف التنمية المستدامة والمفاهيم الأساسية، والتعرف على الأهداف الاستراتيجية للتنمية المستدامة، ومدى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في المكتبات الجامعية، والوقوف على التحديات، والمعوقات التي تحد من تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في المكتبات الجامعية، ووضع المقترحات التي تساعد على تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في المكتبات الجامعية، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وبينت النتائج أن هناك نقصًا في الوعي بأهمية التنمية المستدامة، ووجود تحديات مالية، وتقنية تعيق تنفيذ المبادرات المستدامة. كما أظهرت الدراسة أهمية التعاون مع مؤسسات محلية ودولية لتعزيز الجهود المشتركة، وتحقيق نتائج أفضل، حيث قدمت الدراسة توصيات محددة؛ لتعزيز دور المكتبات الجامعية في دعم التنمية المستدامة، منها زيادة الوعي، والتدريب، وتحسين التمويل، والدعم، وتبني التكنولوجيا المستدامة، وتعزيز الشراكات والتعاون. إذ تهدف هذه التوصيات إلى تمكين المكتبات لتكون نموذجًا يحتذى به في الممارسات البيئية، والاجتماعية، والاقتصادية المسؤولة، مما يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة بشكل فعال، ومستدام.

      The study aims to identify the definition of sustainable development and basic concepts, identify the strategic objectives of sustainable development, the extent to which sustainable development is achieved in university libraries, identify the challenges and obstacles that limit the achievement of sustainable development in university libraries, and develop proposals that help achieve sustainable development in university libraries, and the study used the descriptive approach, and the results showed that there is a lack of awareness of the importance of sustainable development, and the existence of financial and technical challenges that hinder the implementation of sustainable initiatives. The study also showed the importance of cooperation with local and international institutions to enhance joint efforts and achieve better results. The study made specific recommendations to enhance the role of university libraries in supporting sustainable development, including raising awareness, training, improving funding, support, adopting sustainable technology, and strengthening partnerships and cooperation. These recommendations aim to empower libraries to be role models in responsible environmental, social and economic practices, contributing to the effective and sustainable achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
