Abstract

Moroccan scholars have paid great attention to explaining poetic texts, including the Tawshih of Ibn Sahl Al-Andalusi, which was explained by Muhammad Al-Ifrani. This research aims to identify the linguistic issues that Al-Ifrani discussed in his explanation. It relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and reached a set of results, including that Al-Ifrani’s explanation was rich in linguistic issues, and that Al-Ifrani discussed these issues briefly, and that he followed in his opinions the scholars who preceded him.
