This study seeks to address a central problem, as it is related to an attempt to determine the extent of the contribution of computational linguistics (CL) to the improvement of educational practice and to the development of the Arabic language to serve and engage in the knowledge society. This is done through: clarifying the meaning of applied and computational linguistics; Understand the basis of (CL) and its relationship to artificial intelligence and language engineering; Determining the relationship between computational and educational linguistics on the one hand and (CL) and the knowledge society on the other hand, and also showing the importance of information technology and its relationship to knowledge, with identification and the relationship between (CL) and digitization. To achieve these goals, the descriptive analytical approach was used to serve the nature of the subject under study.
