Abstract

Twenty complete Estrous cycles were followed in 9 female dromedary camels. The female camel (AL-NAGA) appears to be a seasonally polyestrus. The breeding season starts from November and ends in April with a range of 4-5 months. The length of estrous cycle and estrus ranges from 25-30 days (X =28.20+ 1.7 days) and 5-7 days (X = 5 + 1.2 days) respectively. The estrus behavior characterized by restlessness, swelling of the vulva, frequent urination and mucus discharges.
