Abstract
This experiment was conducted at the College of Agriculture, Ibb University on the first of February 2022 to study the effect of spraying with different concentrations of licorice and garlic root extracts in traits vegetative growth and production of zucchini cultivar Dana F1 as a factorial experiment according to a completely randomized design (R.C.D) with three replicates, and with two factors, the first-factor Licorice roots at three levels 0, 3 and 6 g/l and the second-factor garlic extract in four levels: 0, 2, 4 and 6 cm3 /L. some traits were studied (plant height (cm), number of leaves/plant, leaf area cm2/plant, number of fruits/plant, average fruit weight (g), production of one plant (kg), and total productivity ton/ha). The results showed that spraying With licorice root extract, achieved a significant increase at a concentration of 3 g/L compared to the control in all the studied traits except the number of fruits/plants, the increase did not reach a significant level. The interaction between the two extracts of licorice with garlic resulted in a significant effect when spraying at a concentration of 3 g/L of licorice with 6 cm3/L of garlic compared to the rest of the interactions in all studied traits except plant height. The difference did not reach a significant level between the same interaction and 3 g/L of licorice With 2 and 4 cm3/L of garlic and 6 g/Lof licorice with 6 cm3/L.
