In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,and prayers and peace be upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers.The Department of Botany is considered one of the main departments affiliated with the College of Science and teaches everything related to the various branches of botany. I welcome all members of the department, including faculty members, students, and all employees of the department, and I hope to God May the Almighty help me to perform my duty and live up to everyone's expectations. In developing and advancing the department. I also welcome your suggestions and opinions to be studied and applied. Welcome, all of you, to the home page of the Botany Department.

Vision

The botany department seeks to prepare well prepared cardres  in  the field  of education  and scientific research to construction and  renaissance sought by  socity capable of creativity,excellence,and competition at  the local and regional levels

Mission

Linking the community and  the university through qualified  graduates who are  able to solve some of  the community problems and  meet its  needs modernize study programs in plant sciences and  introduce  new programs to provide graduates with  scientific skills that  keep  pace with  the needs of  the labor market  the departments is  committed to preparing and  developing programs  .

1-preparing specialists in the fields of botany

2-qualifying specilalized competencies capable of meeting  the ambitions beneficiaries

3-preparing graduates capable of  conducting research and studies  in their field of specialization
