علي عفان هو احد اعضاء هيئة التدريس بقسم وظائف الاعضاء بكلية الطب البشري. يعمل السيد علي عفان بجامعة طرابلس كـأستاذ منذ 2015-09-20 وله العديد من المنشورات العلمية في مجال تخصصه

 2003-2006   :رئيـــس قســم الأعداديات الطبية  بكلية الطب البشري بجامعة طرابلــس

2003-2008 :رئيــس نقابـــة أعضاء هيئـــة التدريـــس بكلية الطب البشري - جامعة طرابلــس

2014 – 2008 :      مدير ادارة التدريب والتعاون الدولي بمركز الرقابة على الأغذية الأدوية – ليبيا.

2022  - 2014: مدير مكتب شؤون أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية الطب البشري بجامعة طرابلس

2022- الى الان: رئيس قسم علم وظائف الاعضاء
