Overview

This course deals with the importance of using symbols that are codified in a correct scientific way and their fields to highlight geographical phenomena on the map so that the student can use distribution maps in research and scientific theses on his own without any trouble.

  • Student awareness of the types of symbols used in cartographic maps.
  • The student's knowledge of the feasibility of using each symbol for the phenomenon it represents.
  • The student's realization of the usefulness of using symbols in maps instead of absolute values.
