Overview

The course aims to introduce the student to the concept of psychology, its development, objectives, branches, schools and research methods in it, the nature of motives and emotions that direct human behavior and mental processes (sensation, attention, perception, remembering and forgetting, intelligence, and learning).

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:To enumerate the objectives of psychology.To distinguish between the theoretical and applied branches of psychology.To explain to the student the schools of psychology.That the student compare between research methods in psychology.The student classifies the motives that direct the behavior.The student defines the stages of the process of sensation and perception.Explain the stages of the memorization process.To distinguish between the classifications of intelligence tests.
