Overview

The course General Teaching Methods and its code GS212: It is taught to students of the third academic year of the Department of Arabic Language for two hours per week. The student studies in this course the knowledge and experiences related to the field of general teaching methods.

The course aims to:

- Familiarity of the student with the knowledge, experience, and skills related to the field of general teaching methods.

- Familiarity of the student with the knowledge, experience, and skills related to the field of teaching aids.

- Student application of the knowledge, experience, and skills gained from studying the course in the field of teaching.

The value of the study returns to the student:

- That the student knows the concept of the teaching method and knows the good teaching method.

To teach the student the characteristics and specifications of a good teacher.

- That the student knows the skills of teaching planning, presentation, evaluation, and the use of teaching aids.

Intended learning outcomes

Mental skills:The student differentiates between the entrance, the strategy, the method, and the style, and deduces the most important characteristics that distinguish the effective teacher in light of the modern concept of teaching.The student teacher should properly reinforce the good and negative behaviors of the learners.The student analyzes the content of the lesson thoroughly, and identifies the characteristics of the learners with whom he deals.Practical and professional skills:- The student should design some lessons in both the longitudinal and transverse ways, and formulate the behavioral objectives of the lessons of Islamic religious education and the Arabic language in a sound behavioral formulation.The student prepares some evaluation tools such as achievement tests and skills tests, and corrects and treats them statistically.The student analyzes the content of the lesson thoroughly, and identifies the characteristics of the learners with whom he deals.
