Overview

This course includes the emergence of social practice, its concept, and the theoretical foundations of social practice with special groups. And the most important professional practice skills of the social worker with people with special needs.

Intended learning outcomes

The students should be able to :

• Familiarize the student with the concepts of professional and social practice for special groups and how to provide them with social care

• Explain the origins of the philosophy of social service and its postulates

• List the types of physical, mental and psychological disabilities.

• Distinguishes the characteristics of professional practice and the types and objectives of qualification for special groups

• Explain the role of the social worker with special groups.

• To familiarize the student with the national policy and methods of prevention

• Mention the concept of the skill and its objectives

• Explain the concepts of professional and social practice for special groups and discover how to provide them with social care

• Analyzes the postulates of social service by studying its origins

• Deduces the characteristics of professional practice and the types and objectives of qualification for special groups

• Analyzes the role of the social worker with special groups.
