Overview

The course deals with the concept of management, its principles, and its importance. It also deals with training students on basic skills and abilities to work in the field of management. The course also discusses administrative and technical aspects and practices.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Explain the meaning of management and its importance in social organizations.

2. Explain the difference between governmental and private organizations.

3. Enumerate the professional roles of the administrative social worker.

4. Explain the functions of management.

5. Explain the administrative organization and how to create and make administrative decisions.

6. Determine specifications for management and employees (educational and practical qualifications, tasks and duties) in disability centres.

7. Propose a methodical program aiming to guide and reform minors.

8. Analyse the required functions of organizations involved in social care.

9. Discuss the professional roles of the administrative social worker.

10. Analyse management functions.

11. Interpret the administrative organization and how to create and make administrative decisions.

12. Discover the specifications of management and workers in disability centres (educational and practical qualifications, tasks, and duties).

13. Use methods and techniques to maintain the confidentiality of information within a social institution.

14. Design and monitor a plan of work in a residential social care centres.

15. Evaluate performance rates in social care centres to achieve a natural balance between the level of service, the number of workers, and the required specialisms.

16. Apply and evaluate management jobs.

17. Design a planned model for administrative organization and administrative decision-making.

18. Apply administrative job description (academic and practical qualifications, tasks, and duties) to managers and employees at disability centres.

19. Accept opinions by colleagues during participation and presentation of research or assignments.

20. Participate in collaborative research.

21. Conduct a field visit to a special needs institution and get acquainted with its administrative hierarchy.

22. Develop positive participation and self-confidence in addition to offering suggestions for the development of classroom work.

23. Acquire the skills of organizing and managing classroom learning.
