This course aims to introduce the physiological psychology,
to get acquainted with the human nervous system and its basic information, and
its main role in carrying out the various psychological functions (awareness,
attention, remembering...), and the link between the functions of the nervous
system and behavior The human being, and realizing the relationship between the
imbalance in the functions of the nervous system and the manifestations of the
various disorders that can affect the person as a result of this imbalance, and
the relationship between these disorders and their impact on human behavior.
By the end
of the course, the students will be able to:

Be familiar with the
concepts and terminology related to the physiological psychology
2.
Organize information
related to the central nervous system
3.
Mention the causes of the
imbalance in terms of increase or decrease in the glands and impact on behavior
4.
Distinguish the
relationship of the senses with disabilities; the levels of awareness and the
subconscious, and resulting disorders
5.
Understand the effects
resulting from drug abuse
6.
Explain the components of
the nervous system and its role in psychological functions
7.
Connect between sections of
the nervous system and its role in human behavior
8.
Compare hormones and
neurotransmitters in terms of their structure and function
9.
Analyze the imbalance in
physiological functions and relationship to human behavior
10. Discover the effects of drug abuse
11. Distinguish between types of physiological disorders that affect
the human body and their effects on behavior
12. Write an essay on the glands and their relationship to
physiological functions
13. Compile information on internal balance
14. Present a topic for discussion on women’s mental health at several
stages of life
15. Use knowledge of the effects of drug abuse in warning and
educating the community
16. Participate actively in proposing and discussing topics
17. Demonstrate a high skill of discussion on subjects required
18. Present own opinion on assignment topics
19. Acquires self-learning skills by compiling information.
