Overview

The purpose of the course is to teach students how to structure a thesis, and how to make all sections of the text more effective. What constitutes effective study communication will also be covered in the training.

Intended learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

• Understand the fundamentals of scientific writing in the field of biology. • Write a research project proposal. • Write reports and conduct scientific research, including his graduation project. • Understand the various methods for presenting the results.

Teaching and learning methods

Lecture-based, Group interaction and discussion, self-directed activities, active participation.

Methods of assessments

Writing the proposal: 15%

Report writing: 15%

Submit a poster: 15%

Present a panel discussion: 5%

Final exam: 50%

A 50 % is required for a pass in this course.
