Overview

Developmental Anatomy is an advanced course discusses the developmental stages of the animal’s body organ systems from fertilization to adult stages

1- Teaching students the basic developmental stages of living organism

2- understanding the detailed steps for development and formation of organs

3- relating the developmental relationships to steps of organ formation

4- Knowledge of the different developmental stages of all organ systems

Intended learning outcomes

1- understanding the developmental stages of animal embryo

2- explaining the detailed development of the organ systems

3- comparing the developmental relationships of different vertebrates

4-understanding the biological factors leading to cellular differentiation

Teaching and learning methods

1- Drawing the developmental stages on the board

2- Lectures using the data show as a teaching tool

3- using videos and documentary movies showing development of some organs

4- participation of graduate students in drowning and explaining some related subjects
