I began my career in the Department of Finance and Banking as a Teaching Assistant in 2002, and in 2004 I was appointed as a faculty member. Until I left the department in 2016, I undertook a wide range of academic and administrative responsibilities. These included teaching several specialized courses in the department, serving on study and examination committees, monitoring committees, and participating in committees affiliated with the Research Center and the faculty’s scientific journal. Recently, in July 2025, a formal decision was issued to reappoint me to resume my position in the Department of Finance and Banking.

I joined the Department of Finance and Banking as a Teaching Assistant in 2002, then as a Lecturer Assistant after obtaining my Master’s degree in 2004, and later as a Lecturer following the completion of my Ph.D. in 2013.

My research interests focus on several areas within the field of finance, including financial markets, financial policy, as well as monetary and banking studies.

النشاطات الخارجية

Among my external activities, I contributed to the establishment of the Libyan Stock Market as a member of the Supervisory Committee. I also served in the Academic Affairs Department at the Libyan School in the United States and actively participated in numerous seminars, conferences, and scientific workshops.
