Dr. Walid Mahmud is an Associate Professor and a faculty member at the Department of Petroleum Engineering. Dr. Mahmud lectures several subjects including flow of fluids in porous media, introduction to oil engineering, oil symposium, completion of wells, engineering economics, oil field equipment, and oil field technology 

.Dr. Mahmud's research interests include multiphase flow in porous media, EOR and reservoir characterization. Dr Mahmud has more than 40 scientific publications in various international journals and conferences, which have so far attracted 239 citations.
