بعد أكثر من 25 عامًا في جامعة طرابلس كمحاضر رئيسي بقسم هندسة النفط, كلية الهندسة. د صالح متفرغ لمهام التدريس والبحث و الاشراف في قسم هندسة النفط. 

النشاطات الخارجية

د صالح نشر العديد من الورقات البحثية و اشرف علي العديد من رسائل الماجستير بالاكاديمية الليبية للدراسات العليا. د صالح منخرط في التدريب مع المؤسسة الليبية للنفط NOC لتدريب العناصر الوطنية من مهندسين و فنيين لرفع كفاءتهم العلمية و الفنية. د صالح يعمل مراجع لبعض المجلات المحلية.
