Reasons for the phenomenon of rioting in football stadiums in the Western Region

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the causes of the phenomenon of rioting in football stadiums in the Western Region. The researcher used the descriptive approach for its suitability and the nature of the study, as the research community consisted of the public, media professionals, referees, players, coaches and administrators in the game of football during the 2023/2024 sports season. The sample was chosen intentionally and randomly and included some members of the public, media professionals, referees, players, coaches and administrators in the game of football in the Western Region. It was targeted For the basic study, they were divided as follows: (340) audience members, (18) media professionals, (30) referees, (150) players, (70) coaches and administrators. A form was applied to collect data prepared by the researcher after consulting references and previous studies related to the subject of the research. Scientific transactions, their control and distribution, as the most important results of this research were the lack of mathematical awareness among some members of the public The fanaticism of the sports fans towards their team, far from the spirit of sportsmanship, as well as the exaggerated media exaggeration in the playoff and final matches, the repeated refereeing errors during the match, the referee’s lack of control over his decisions, the unjustified expulsion of one of the players from the game, and the lack of knowledge of the administrators in their duties towards the team were among the reasons for the phenomenon of rioting. ..
