Abstract

This study aimed to test the relationship between blood types and stroke in a sample of Libyan patients with stroke of both types. The research sample amounted to (914) cases that were randomly selected and distributed among hospitals, clinics and physiotherapy centers. The study showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between blood type (A+) and stroke among patients over 59 years of age. This study concluded that blood type may be one of the risk factors for stroke and it would be useful to target people with this blood type with preventive measures to avoid stroke.
