Psychological pressures and their relationship to personal and social adjustment among physical education teachers in the municipality of Suwani"

Abstract

     The current research aims to prepare and design a measure of psychological stress and a measure of psychological and social adjustment for physical education teachers in the municipality of Al-Sawani, and to identify the relationship between psychological pressure and personal and social adjustment among the research sample. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the style of survey studies in order to suit it to achieve the objectives of the research, and the research community included teachers. Physical education in the academic year 2022/2023 AD in the municipality of Al-Sawani, and the number of them was (163) male and female teachers. The research sample was selected by a simple random method and consisted of (134) male and female teachers. (30) teachers were retained as a survey sample, and the most important results indicated the preparation and design of a measure of psychological stress, and a measure of personal and social adjustment for teachers of physical education in the municipality of Suwani, with a high degree of validity and reliability in accordance with the scientific foundations for building standards in the field of psychological measurement and evaluation. There is a statistically significant correlation between psychological pressures and personal and social adjustment among physical education teachers in the municipality of Al-Sawani in the primary, middle, and secondary stages. The researchers recommend the necessity of applying the two measures periodically and continuously during the school year, which allows identifying the degree and level of psychological pressures and personal and social adjustment of teachers in educational institutions.
