Abstract

Summary of the study: The study aimed to identify the cognitive aspect of members of the boards of directors of some sports clubs in the city of Tripoli regarding cultural activity to satisfy the needs of their members and the role of the boards of directors of sports clubs in activating cultural activities. The descriptive approach was used using the survey method. The study population was represented by members of the clubs’ boards of directors. The number of sports clubs in the Premier League in the Tripoli region was (6 clubs), and the sample was represented by (32 members) who were chosen intentionally. Information was collected by using the data collection tool represented in the reality of cultural activities. The study produced a number of results, the most important of which was that the field The cognitive aspect of the importance of cultural activities was evaluated (to a large degree), as the weighted mean for the dimension as a whole reached (2.39) with a percentage weight of (79%). According to the percentage table adopted in the study, the data for all statements in the field came within a direction of great agreement, as the weighted means ranged These expressions ranged between (1.84 to 3.00) with percentage weights ranging from (61% to 1.00%). It was also shown that the differences in the responses of the study sample members regarding the role of the boards of some sports club administrations in the city of Tripoli in activating cultural activities were varied in the direction of ( High rating and medium rating. The study recommended holding seminars and courses, intensifying cultural programs, inviting young people and the public to participate in all activities and programs held inside and outside the club, and working to develop strategies within sports clubs to activate cultural activities.
