The current study aims to identify the levels of teaching competencies among physical education teachers and to find the relationship between them and the educational, skill and physical outcomes of students in the basic education stage in Tripoli, Libya. The sample consisted of physical education teachers in basic education schools in some schools of education control in the Andalus district, and their number reached (66) teachers. They were selected deliberately from those who work regularly and have study schedules during the academic year 2019-2020. A number of (106) students from the basic education stage were also selected randomly. The questionnaire was used as a tool to measure teaching competencies, including (7). Physical tests and a test were also applied. Skill and cognitive performance One of the most important conclusions is that the inspectors’ analysis and evaluation of the teachers’ teaching competencies had a high level of positivity, as the average range for the proportions of the teaching competencies axes ranged from 75% to 79%, with a relative average of the extent of availability of the competencies in general reaching 75%. Personal competencies were the most distinguished, followed by lesson planning and activities competencies. Where the teacher chooses the activities that suit the students’ abilities, and the rest of the competencies came in succession (competencies for managing and organizing students, competencies for implementing the lesson, competencies for using methods and methods of learning and teaching, competencies for using educational tools and methods, competencies for using measurement and evaluation), and the study also showed the presence of direct statistically significant correlations. It is positive and progressive between teaching competencies and educational outcomes.,
