Roles

.After more than 24 years at the University of Tripoli as a lecturer in the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Nouri is now a faculty member in the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Languages, University of Tripoli. Dr. Nouri’s primary roles are now a researcher, doctoral supervisor, and lecturer. Dr. Nouri teaches Arabic literature at its various stages, especially the literature of successive countries (medieval literature). He is also interested in teaching the general Arabic language to non-specialists. As a doctoral supervisor, he is now working to supervise and guide a number of students who are candidates for master’s and doctoral degrees.

Careers

Before joining the University of Tripoli, Dr. Nouri worked for many years in the field of teaching the secondary stage of general education. He also served as Dean of the Faculty of Languages at the University of Tripoli for two periods (11/2015-10/2018 AD) and (09/2020-11/2023 AD). Vice Dean of the College of Languages (10/2013-02/2015 AD) and worked as Head of the Study and Examinations Department at the College of Languages (11/2011-10/2013 AD). He was also assigned to work as Head of the Arabic Language Department at the Open University (11/2008-10/2011 AD).

Research Interests

Dr. Nouri has several research papers published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, whether published by the University of Tripoli or outside it, in universities and academic institutions in Libya. Dr. Nouri participated in several scientific conferences and workshops inside and outside Libya on the Arab and international issues, and supervised some of its scientific and preparatory committees. He also worked on refereeing a number of academic research and dissertations in postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) inside and outside the University of Tripoli.

External Activities

Work D. Nouri is a linguistic reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals. He also worked as editor-in-chief of some of them, including: the Faculty of Languages Journal, and Al-Ustad Magazine, which is issued by the Faculty Syndicate at the University of Tripoli. He is a founding member of the Council of Experts at Souq Al-Jumaa, Tripoli, and is a preparer and trainer for training courses for linguistic guidance and addressing report writing errors. Administrative and scientific under the supervision of the Institute of Administration and Planning in Tripoli, and a founding member of the Libyan Andalusian Association in Tripol
