Roles

Rasha Bishti is one of the staff members at the Department of English/  Faculty of Languages/University of Tripoli. She has been working in the department as an assistant lecturer  since March 2015. She teaches several subjects in her major and has a publication in the field of her interest. Miss Rasha has been promoted to "lecturer" in  August 2021.

Careers

Ms. Rasha began her career as an assistant lecturer in 2015 and was promoted to the position of lecturer in 2021 after publishing a scientific paper entitled:

Returning to Graduation Projects: Attitudes and Perceived Challenges of Students and Staff at a Libya EFL Department.

Rasha participated in supervising and evaluating graduation research and had an effective role in preparing and giving workshops for students to guide them in writing their projects

Research Interests

Interested in researching areas related to Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) >

Also interested in qualitative research in general and the fields of phonetics and sociolinguistics.

A research paper was published in 2021 in the Arab World English Journal (AWEJ) entitled:

Returning to Graduation Projects: Attitudes and Perceived Challenges of Students and Staff at a Libya EFL Department.

External Activities

During the summer holiday, I work as a general English teacher in various language centres. I also work with the British Council as an invigilator for the IELTS and CAIE exams
