Salimah Abdulajabar is one of the staff members at the department of 2 faculty of 13. He is working as a since 2007-10-09. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several puplications in the field of his interest.

Position: Professor of Philosophy and Comparative Religions - Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli. And Associate Professor at the Academy of Graduate Studies.

- She obtained a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from the College of Education, Tripoli, 1980.

- She was appointed as a teaching assistant at the college in the Philosophy Department and obtained a postgraduate diploma in 1984.

- She obtained a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the College of Arts and Education for a thesis in the field of philosophy of religions entitled “Religion and Freedom” in 1988.

- She obtained a doctorate in philosophy from the College of Social Sciences for a thesis in the field of religions entitled “The Problem of Religion and Politics, 1993 AD.

- She rose through the academic ladder by teaching university and postgraduate studies in many Libyan universities and academies until she obtained the degree of (professor) in 2007.

She still practices university teaching and academic work to this day

—- She received an honorary doctorate from Columbia University in the United States of America in the field of volunteer humanitarian work in 2021.

Scientific and functional initiatives and tasks

She contributed, along with an elite group of women from the Arab world, to establishing the Arab Women’s Organization, which is one of the institutions of the League of Arab States, and served as a member of the organization’s executive council from 2003 to 2011.

- I was assigned the position of Secretary for Social Affairs at the General People’s Conference in the period 2000-2004 AD.

- She was assigned the position of Secretary of Women’s Affairs from January 2010.

She supervised the establishment of the Center for Religious Studies at the Academy of Graduate Studies and assumed its presidency during the period 2006 to 2012.

She supervised the establishment of a department for religious thought studies at the School of Human Sciences at the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies and taught there for many years.

She supervised many master’s and doctoral theses at the University of Tripoli, the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, Janzour, Al-Zawiya University, Sebha University, Western Mountain University, Misrata University, and the College of Islamic Da’wah.

- I participated in discussing dozens of theses and dissertations in Libyan universities.

She contributed continuously by obtaining a master’s degree in cultural movement and giving scientific and educational lectures in cultural centers and institutions at home and abroad.

She published many specialized scientific researches in the field of philosophy, Islamic thought, comparative religion, and religious thinking, in addition to women’s issues, in many specialized scientific periodicals.
