After more than 10 years at the National University of Tripoli, primarily in teaching roles, Dr. Abu Bakr Ben Belkacem now works full-time as a lecturer in Islamic jurisprudence and its origins in the Department of Islamic Studies. Abu Bakr's primary roles now are to work as a researcher and lecturer. He regularly publishes in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and works with a variety of research teams either as a leader, collaborator or mentor. A large part of Abu Bakr's role relates to encouraging and supporting a culture of university research, and he has a range of associated responsibilities, primarily in relation to research ethics and supporting the Islamic Studies Research Centre. Abu Bakr's teaching has focused largely on Islamic studies, and he has developed and led programs and modules at university level in this field. He currently delivers ad hoc lectures at the request of the Department of Islamic Studies on his specialized research topics, including Islamic economics. Given greater interest in the study of the concept of “Islamic economics”, Abu Bakr has for many years integrated teaching with research, as well as supporting and implementing research-based teaching.

ABUBAKER BEN BELGASEM began teaching in the Department of Islamic Studies as an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli, since 2011, then as a lecturer in the same department since 2021.

 He has prepared a number of books and scientific research in his field of specialization, including the following:

 1- The innovative methodology of financing contracts and services in Islamic banks, a master's thesis, printed by Dar alfusayfisa for printing, publishing and distribution / Tripoli, Libya 2010

2 - A Characteristics of the Islamic economic doctrine, Al-Tibyan Magazine, Issue (5) 2012, issued by the Department of Islamic Studies, College of Arts / University of Tripoli / Libya

 3 - Securities provisions and their legal adaptation in the light of the legal standards of AAOIFI, Al Tebyan Magazine Issue (12-2018) issued by the Department of Islamic Studies, College of Arts / University of Tripoli / Libya.
