Careers

The professional journey of Mrs. Fahima began at the University of Tripoli in the Faculty of Arts on January 1, 2001. She started as an office technician within the college library in 2007. After obtaining her Master's degree, she was appointed as a faculty member in the Swani branch in 2012. She worked as a collaborator in the Faculty Affairs Office in 2014. In 2017, she moved to the Department of Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tripoli as an Assistant Lecturer. She continues to work within the department and obtained the rank of Assistant Professor in 2021.

Research Interests

Mrs. Fahima's research interests focus on the information and knowledge society, library management, and she has several published articles in reputable scientific journals within her specialization. Some of her publications include: 1. Document preservation and conservation: The Libyan Jihad Library as a case study.2. Information and its role in decision-making.3. Qualities of library and information specialists in marketing information services. She participated in the thirty-second conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information under the title "The Future of Arab Information Institutions in the Age of Smart Technologies (Strategic Vision 2050)." She also took part in the thirty-third conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information with a paper entitled "Integration of Roles and Tasks between Libraries, Archives, and National Museums." Additionally, she has a research paper under publication titled "The Reality of Higher Education in the Era of the Coronavirus Pandemic: The English Language Department as a Model." Furthermore, she participated in the thirty-fourth conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information with a paper titled "Economic Crises and Their Impact on the Library Sector and Information Institutions: The Faculty of Arts Library at the University of Tripoli as a Case Study.
