Le proverbe baoulé : un canal de représentation sociale et culturelle

Abstract

 If the Baoulé show a clear interest in the proverb, it is because this genre crystallizes their history, their socio-cultural conception, their ideology and their vision of the world. As a result, it ceases to appear as a simple oral literary genre whose conciseness is often appreciated, to appear as a social point of reference; the soul of a people which first recognizes itself, then affirms itself and finally arises in its cultural identity.
