Abstract

This article aims to analyze the mechanisms of humor in the fictional universe of Fouad Laroui, in correlation with the identity and existential crisis of the individual. Which individual manages a whole fictional universe as he pleases in order to give us to see stories imbued with humor and irony conveying a certain vision of the world and an aesthetic of subversion.           It is therefore important for us to highlight the processes of humorous discourse in relation to the crisis of the individual in the fictional universe of the writer, while proceeding to the analysis of humor as a subversive approach which reflects a certain malaise of the individual in a society constantly doomed to metamorphoses and shocks. Thus, humor turns out to be a psychological attitude that manifests itself textually in narratological games such as dialogism, addresses to the reader, parody, the experimentation of the narrator, narrative plurivocality, intertextuality and the different forms hyperbole and exaggeration.
