Rida is a faculty member in the Department of Rangelands and Forests, Faculty of Agriculture, Tripoli. Mr. Reda has been working as a lecturer at the University of Tripoli since 12/29/2003 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization, including a research entitled "Estimating the land cover degradation of the Judaym forest in northwestern Libya using satellite images and GIS technology", "Using remote sensing data and GIS to study land cover change in the Green Mountain region - Libya 1994-2023", "Response of Acacia mellifera seedlings to different levels of drought stress"

Dr. Rida Al-Sadig Al-Sherif was appointed as a faculty member on 12/21/2003 and taught the following courses: Natural Resources Management / Rangeland and Forest Environment / Forest Management / Forest Products / Forest Fundamentals. He held and holds the following administrative positions: Member of the Study and Examinations Committee / Member of the Grade Sheet Review Committee / Department Scientific Activity Committee / Academic Supervision Committee / Department Sessions Rapporteur.

Research Interests

- Interest in forest trees inside and outside cities

- Monitoring changes in land cover using modern technologies such as remote sensing and geographic information systems

- Studying the most important plant species suitable for arid and semi-arid environments

External Activities

- Participated in many scientific conferences

- Review and scientific evaluation of many pure scientific papers for many local scientific journals

- Provided advice to many municipalities in the fields of planting trees, caring for them and preserving them
