Roles

 Mohamed Zaid is a faculty member in the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Tripoli. Mr. Mohamed Zaid has been working at the University of Tripoli as a lecturer since 12/11/2013 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization, which is plant diseases with a specialization in viral plant diseases. He also headed the Quality and Performance Evaluation Department at the college as head of this department for at least seven years. He later headed the Department of Studies and Examinations at the Faculty of Agriculture from June 2022 to date. Mohamed Zaid supervised the Examination Control and Management Committee at the college twice, once in 2014-2015 and the second in 2022-2024. He published three research papers in refereed journals. During my tenure as a lecturer since 2013, I have taught many courses in my specializations, which are General Plant Diseases, General Botany 2, Horticultural Crop Diseases, and Viral Plant Diseases. I have also been a member of the New Student Admission Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as the Faculty’s Educational Practical Development Committee and the Course Equivalency Committee for students transferred from other faculties.

Careers

Mr. Mohamed Ali Zaid has held many job positions at the university level, as he was assigned the duties of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for two consecutive years during the academic year 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. He was also a member of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Office by holding the position of Head of the Study and Examinations Department, and he is now a member of the Study and Examinations Committee at the university by heading the Study and Examinations Department at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Research Interests

Mr. Mohamed Ali Zaid's research field is plant diseases, especially diseases caused by plant viruses and their relationship with various vectors, whether insects, seeds, or other known methods.
