Roles
Muhammad Ali Taher Obaid has been working as a lecturer for more than 7 years after obtaining his doctorate degree in 2019. He is dedicated to teaching and conducting research in the Department of Plant Protection at the College of Agriculture. The basic roles are supervisor, researcher, lecturer, publishing a group of research papers, head of a research work team, evaluating research proposals, reviewing research and its suitability for publication. As well as linking society and college, preparing graduate students capable of deviating in the labor market, and how to conduct research that serves farmers’ problems and find solutions to them
Careers
I joined the College of Agriculture, University of Tripoli, in 1999, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2004. I was accepted as a teaching assistant, and from there I became involved in the fields of work, research, and how to teach.
Research Interests
Evaluating research proposals for master’s students, reviewing research for publication in the Journal of Agricultural Sciences at the College of Agriculture, University of Tripoli. A research team worked with colleagues in the department, and I am the head of the team. A number of research papers were published in various journals, for example, Al-Zawiya University Journal, Sirte College of Science Journal, Al-Sada University Journal, Damascus University Journal. There was also joint work with neighboring countries in conducting joint research from Egypt and Saudi Arabia
External Activities
For the past five years, I have been working in the agricultural extension unit, especially on the strawberry crop, as well as in the environment and community service, evaluating new varieties of most vegetable crops in terms of productivity and pathogenicity.
