Asma Al-Najjar is a faculty member in the Soil and Water Department at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate students through lectures and practical sessions, she has taught courses in the Faculties of Science, Agriculture, Medicine, Pharmacy, and the Biology Department of the Faculty of Education. She has also supervised Master's theses from the Faculties of Agriculture and Science. Dr. Al-Najjar was appointed as the Graduate Studies Coordinator in the Soil and Water Department from 2014 to 2017, and as the Director of the Graduate Studies and Training Office at the Faculty from 2017 to 2021. She has also served as the Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department at the Faculty since 2021. Dr. Al-Najjar has been an Associate Professor at the University of Tripoli since October 4, 2014, and has numerous scientific publications in her field of specialization. She has made significant contributions to conferences and scientific seminars, both by presenting research and serving on scientific committees. Careers

Staff member at the  faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil and Water since 1999 til now. She is  participated in teaching university and graduate courses such as Biochemistry, General Microbiology, Soil Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, General Genetics, Pollution of Agricultural Soil, and  Fundamentals of Soil Science.

Appointed as Coordinator of Graduate Studies at the Department of Soil and Water from 2013 to 2017, Director of the Office of Graduate Studies and Training from 2017 to 2021, and Head of the Department of Quality Asurance and performance  assistance at the college from 2022 to the present.

Research Interests

Research focused mainly on the use of soil microbes in fertilization and environmental conservation, as well as the impact of chemical compounds on soil microbes. Also participated in research addressing bioactive compounds extracted from medicinal plants as antibiotics and on the role of bacteria in the degradation of industrial dyes.

- Member of the Scientific Committee for the First Digital Agriculture Conference, College of Agriculture, March 2023.

- Member of the advisory team formed by the Attorney General to assess the suitability of genetically modified crop shipments imported for feed production purposes.
