Careers
Before joining the University of Tripoli, Mr. Wassim Essid worked as a teaching assistant at the Language Center, Zawiya University in cooperation with the British Council for four years, after which he obtained a master's degree in the field of English in 2015, and worked as an assistant lecturer at the Language Center, Zawiya University and then as a collaborator at the University of Sabratha in 2016, then moved to work as an assistant lecturer in the English Language Department, Faculty of Arts, Al-Swani Branch, University of Tripoli in 2016, Coordinator of the English Language Department, Faculty of Arts, Al-Sawani Branch in 2017, lecturer in 2020. Research Interests
One of the most important research areas in which Mr. Wassim Essid is interested is research in the fields of English language and teaching methods, especially the fields taught by applied linguistics and its relationship with other humanities. He is also interested in the field of education and self-development programs, moreover he is interested in the field of e-learning and the use of modern technologies and attending scientific conferences in the field of English.
External Activities
In addition to his work as a researcher and lecturer at the university, Mr. Wassim Essid has contributed to many scientific activities at the regional and national levels. He was selected by the U.S. Embassy to participate in the Internatinal Visitor Leadership Program and attend the Tesol 2013. He also contributed to giving courses in the field of English language to post graduate students who are not specialized in it, as he was one of the professors at the British Council and obtained scientific certificates accredited by the British Council.
