Ms. Sondos Ibrahim Ali Aljadeed currently works as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of English, Faculty of Arts and Languages, University of Tripoli.
She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Studies from Hassan II University in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco, in 2010, after completing a thesis entitled:
"A Study of the Urban Dialect of Tripoli: Historical Perspective,"
which explored some linguistic features and lexical aspects of the urban dialect of Tripoli from a historical point of view.
In 2012, she earned her Master’s degree in Literary and Linguistic Studies from the same university, with a dissertation titled:
"Teachers' Oral Corrective Feedback Strategies in Some Moroccan EFL Classrooms: Teachers' Recasts and Students' Uptake,"
in which she studied the oral corrective strategies used by English language teachers in EFL contexts, and their impact on students’ language acquisition and academic development.
Ms. Aljadeed joined the Department of English at the University of Tripoli in 2013 as a part-time faculty member and was appointed as a full-time Assistant Lecturer in 2014.

Careers
Since 2023, Ms. Aljadeed has been serving as an Assistant Lecturer, Student Activities and Cultural Events Coordinator, and Academic Supervisor for graduation projects at the Department of English, Faculty of Arts and Languages, University of Tripoli.
Between 2020 and 2022, she served as the Academic Activity Coordinator for the faculty members and was a founding member of the First Academic Conference of the English Department (2022) under the theme:
"Activating Educational Technology and Smart Learning Environments at the University Level."
Additionally, Ms. Aljadeed worked at several language centers in Tripoli and served as an English language trainer for international students at The American Academy in Casablanca, Morocco.
She previously worked as a translator for the Turkish companies LIBYA LIDYA and Artes.
Research Interests
Ms. Aljadeed’s research interests primarily focus on sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and the intersection of language and technology.
In 2022, she published a conference paper entitled:
"On Multimodality Integration in Online Instruction: A Case Study of Some Virtual Classes Delivered at the English Department during the Covid-19 Quarantine / Tripoli University,"
which examined the integration of multimodality in online instruction through a case study of virtual classes delivered during the quarantine period.
External Activities
Ms. Aljadeed is deeply committed to voluntary work and community engagement, actively participating in the organization of various cultural and educational initiatives in support of community service.
