Mrs. Sundus Al Jadid is a teaching assistant at the University of Tripoli, Department of English.
She obtained a BA in English Language Studies from Hassan II University in Casablanca / Morocco (2010) after writing a thesis on the lexical aspects of the urban dialect of Tripoli from a diachronic perspective.
In 2012, Mrs. Sundus Al Jadid obtained an MA degree in literary and linguistic studies from Hassan II University. Her master's thesis was on ELT teachers' oral corrective feedback strategies across elementary as well as advanced levels. The study specifically sought to investigate how teachers' error-handling techniques influence students' uptake, hence their interlanguage development.
Mrs. Sundus joined the English Department at the University of Tripoli in 2013 as a cooperating faculty member and then as an officially appointed assistant lecturer.

Ms. Al Jadid has obtained a number of important certificates from accredited international language centers, namely the British Council as well as the International House, in addition to a diploma in business administration from the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gestion et Promotion des Diplomes de la FBCCI, with the degree of merit.
Careers
(2013-present) Assistant lecturer and former academic supervisor of graduate students’ theses, College of Arts, English Language department.
(2020-2022) Coordinator of academic activity for faculty members and a founding member of the first academic conference of the English Department (2022) “Activating educational technology and smart learning and teaching environments in the university education stage.”
Ms.Al-Jadid has worked for several language centers in Tripoli, as well as as an English language trainer for international students at The American Academy Casablanca in Casablanca, Morocco.
She also previously worked as a translator for the Turkish company LIBYA LIDYA and Artes.
Research Interests
Her general research interests revolve mainly around areas pertaining to sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language and technology. In 2022, she published a conference paper titled “On Multimodality Integration in Online Instruction: A Case Study of Some Virtual Classes Delivered at the English Department during Covid (19) Quarantine/ Tripoli University”.
