Roles
When I was accepted into the department, I taught English as a general subject for two semesters in 2016-2017. Furthermore, I taught theoretical linguistics for more than 5 semesters. During this period, I prepared questions and cooperated with the subject coordinator and the participating professors.
I also taught conversation, oral practice, grammar, and grammatical structures. I currently teach comprehension.
I supervised the midterm and final exams.
Careers
At the beginning of my career, I was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Language Center of Modern Languages of the University of Tripoli, there I began my journey in teaching English as a second language as well as being appointed as a senior teacher. I attended workshops organized by the Center of Modern Languages in cooperation with the British Council and the University of Cambridge. As a result, I obtained the TKT and ICELT certificates.
My studies continued until I defended my master’s thesis and was promoted as an assistant lecturer. So I moved from the Center of Modern Languages to the English Department at the College of Languages, where I taught different subjects to different classes. I published a research paper to be promoted to lecturer, and now the paperwork is being prepared
Research Interests
I am honestly interested in theoretical linguistics, especially phonetics. In addition, I'm quite intrigued by applied linguistics since I enrolled in training courses with the universities of Cambridge and Oregon and obtained certificates for teaching English as a second language.
External Activities
I have published a paper titled: HOW TO DECODE & PROCESS LISTENING
