Aida obtained her master degree in 2004 ( The Role of Teaching Methods in minimizing Grammatical Rules) and was a lecturer at the University of Tripoli. She worked as a lecturer at the English department for 10 years before leaving to Canada for her PhD degree. She also taught English to students in medicine school and was an instructor and a coordinator in the faculty of engineering.

Aida worked as a lecturer from 2004 to 2014 at the English department and a coordinator at the faculty of engineering and faculty of medicine. She taught several subjects such as phonetics, linguistics, grammatical structure and oral practice.
Research Interests
Aida is interested in language education methods and strategies that enhance students' performance in the target language. She has a specific interest in Intercultural Communicative Competence and its relation to language learning. She is also interested in finding a method that takes into consideration the individual differences among students in the classroom. Aida adept at curriculum and activities development and classroom management to engage students and inspire their learning. Aida is familiar with the issues of multiculturalism and diversity and has papers that tackle these issues.
External Activities
Aida worked as a teacher assistant at the University of Regina, Canada. She assisted students in the academic writing . She also was a guest speaker for many lectures to help students to find the best ways to teach language skills to non-native speakers. Additionally, she taught multiple topics to master students of her supervisor. Aida also worked as an interpreter for newcomer Arab speakers. Her PhD dissertation was published in google scholar (The Role of Intercultural Communicative Competence in SLA for Arab Learners, A Hermeneutic Phenomenological Study), and (Using Hermeneutic Phenomenology as a Research Method)
