Dedicated and experienced English and Arabic teacher, trainer and researcher with a passion for educating today's youth linguistically and culturally, and supporting them academically, emotionally, and socially in the classroom. Able to act as a facilitator of powerful learning experiences, while allowing students to dictate certain lessons and lead with curiosity. Also, enthusiastic and dedicated Project Manger with experience in designing, implementing and following up teacher training projects with beneficiaries and stakeholders. While teaching at Tripoli University, I taught the subjects: Conversation and Presentation skills, Grammatical structures, Reading comprehension and Varaities of English.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

(2023-Current) International House London (IHL) – Duties: Arabic and English teacher, syllabus design for 18 levels involving logical sequencing and scaffolding, intercultural trainer for (UK-MENA relations).

(2019) London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) – Duties: support staff for working on doing research in Arabic to be published for the Middle East Centre.

(2018-2019): Sharek London Centre for Arabic Language and Culture- Duties: Arabic Language Teacher and Teacher Trainer and developing bespoke material for corporates based in London. (2012-2017):Tripoli University- Staff member at the English Language Department and the Translation Department.

(2014-2015): UNESCO Tripoli - Education Focal Point-Consultant on Technical Vocation and Training TVET. (2013-2017): Active member in The National office for EU programs in Higher Education & Scientific Research in Libya-TVET profile.

(2013): European Training Foundation (ETF) in Italy- representing Young Mediterranean Leaders working on TVET. (2010-2012): U.S. Embassy Tripoli-Middle East Partnership Initiative Coordinator (MEPI)- Public Diplomacy Section.

(2006-2008): Academy of Graduate Studies – Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL).
