Roles

Othman has focused heavily on teaching jurisprudence and ancillary subjects in the Department of Islamic Studies, and has developed and led programs and modules at undergraduate level in this area. He currently delivers ad hoc lectures at the request of the departmentSpecialized research topics, and the focus was on jurisprudence and auxiliary materials, as well as supervising research related to the specialization.

Careers

- I was appointed as a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Languages, University of Tripoli (Al-Fateh) at the rank of Assistant Lecturer on: 12/26/1992 AD.

-By obtaining a Ph.D., I was promoted to the rank of Lecturer on 07/12/1999.

-And an assistant professor after years of experience and required research in 2002.

- And Associate Professor after four years of experience and required research in 2006 AD.

- And the degree of (Professor) after completing the required period of experience and research 05/08/2014 AD.

Research Interests

- Supervised more than twenty master's theses in the field of specialization.

- I supervised three PhD theses in a field of specialization.

- Participated in the discussion of more than twenty master's and doctoral dissertations in areas of specialization.

External Activities

 -I was assigned the tasks of the scientific advisory committee for the affairs of the committee at the Ministry of Higher Education in accordance with Resolution No. 132/2006- for the period 1/3/2006 until the end of the year 2007 AD.

- I was assigned an official mission to India to provide faculty members for Libyan universities - BMO Love Decision No.: 314- 2007,.

- I was assigned an official mission to India to visit the Gift Square and to consider and address the scientific and financial situation of the students studying there, pursuant to Resolution No. 408/2007.

- I was assigned to be named as a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education to participate in the meetings of the tenth session of the Libyan-Indian Joint Committee in New Delhi, India, during the period from 12-15-2007 AD. And permanently in every meeting related to the Indian arena.

- I was appointed as a representative of the scientific affairs of the College of Education in Souk Al-Khamis, University of Al-Juffara on 03-28-2017 AD.

- I was delegated (on loan) to work at the Ministry of Higher Education in a scientific committee as an expert under Resolution No. 211/2007. In the period from 12/4/2007 to 30/2/2008

- I was delegated to work in the Indian arena with the degree of academic expert under Resolution No. 934 2007-2008, in the period from: 01/03/2008-2013.

- I was assigned an official visit to India to look into the conditions of the students on 10/23/2007.

- I was assigned to work in committees to review and revise the Islamic education curricula from the first grade of primary school to the third secondary school, as well as religious education from the year 2017-2020 AD according to Resolution: (1901/2017 AD) and Resolution No. (53/2018 AD).

- I assumed the duties of a member of the Syndicate for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Faculty of Languages during the period 2000-2001 AD.

- I assumed the duties of a member of the administrative and financial affairs of the University of Tripoli Syndicate during the period: 2002-2007 AD.

I was selected as a member of the Sharia Board of Al-Nouran Bank in 2017.
