Professor Jamal Ahmed Suleiman Hawas is a faculty member in the Library and Information Department at the College of Arts, Tripoli. Mr. Jamal Ahmed Suleiman Hawas has been working at the University of Tripoli as an assistant professor. He has many scientific publications in his field of specialization and has many local and international scientific contributions.

I obtained my master’s degree in 2001 from the Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli, and I was assigned several tasks, including:

- Librarian of the Faculty of Social Sciences (formerly), University of Tripoli (1992-1996)

- Secretary of the Central Library (Section B) - University of Tripoli (1996- 2004-)

Research Interests

His focus of interest focuses on issues related to his field of specialization, including:

Indexing during publication - its importance and the extent of its application to Libyan publications - research presented at the first conference of the Libyan Association for Libraries, Information and Archives and published in the association’s magazine in the first issue of the first year (June 2014).

Periodicals sections in university libraries: a study applied to Tripoli university libraries. Published electronically in the Journal of the College of Arts (Zawia University) Issue 18 (2014)

The National Library of Science and Technology and its role in serving scientific research - a case study, advanced research at the first scientific conference of the Department of Libraries and Information - Faculty of Arts - University of Tripoli: 12/22/2022 and published in the conference papers in a book published 2023
