Roles

Dr. Souad Al-Zaribi is one of the faculty members in the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts, Tripoli. Ms. Souad has been working at the University of Tripoli as an associate professor since 2022 and has many scientific publications in her field of specialization. Interested in teaching social change, social theories, and development and modernization programs in the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs. She evaluated and discussed many master's theses in the field of sociology, and also supervised a number of graduate students.

She currently holds the position of: Director of the Women’s Empowerment Office at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research from 2024 AD

- Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology.

She obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Social Sciences, Department of Guidance and Counseling, 1996

- Obtained a postgraduate diploma and pre-master’s degree from the Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli, 1998.

She obtained a master’s degree from the College of Arts in 2002

- She obtained a doctorate degree with first class honors from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies at the League of Arab States in 2007.
