Since her appointment as a teaching assistant in the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, University of Tripoli, Ms. Marwan was entrusted with many tasks, including academic supervision, following up on students’ registration of their subjects, reviewing graduation certificates, teaching some courses, assisting with study assignments and exams, writing reports, and invigilating on exams. After obtaining a master's degree in English Language, specifically in Theoretical Linguistics, Ms. Khawla started teaching various courses in the Translation Department. She also was assigned as the study and examinations coordinator in the department.

1. She graduated with high marks in university studies and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English Language. 2. She was appointed as a teaching assistant in the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages. 3. After obtaining her master’s degree , she was appointed as an assistant lecturer in the Faculty of Languages.
Research Interests
Ms Khawla Marwan's interests are focused on Phonetics and Phonology, with a focus on the dialect spoken in Tripoli in terms of the characteristics of its sounds (consonants and vowels) and the diversity of dialects in Libya. She is also interested in translation studies and the impact of cultural differences on the translation of texts between Arabic and English.
External Activities
Mr Khawla Marwan worked as an administrative employee and translator in several national and foreign companies. She also worked as an English language trainer in several institutions and centers, including the American University of Libya, Vancouver Canadian Center, the Tanasuh initiative for serving community , Itqan Center for Training Doctors, Aljouhod Training Center, and Souq Al-Jumaa Higher Institute for Engineering, and many others. She also works as a freelance translator and a proofreader for scientific research published in English.
