Roles
Hamed is a dedicated faculty member at the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design, University of Tripoli. He has been serving as a lecturer since December 31, 2007, where he has contributed extensively to teaching, research, and academic development. Over the years, he has published numerous scientific papers in his field of specialization, focusing on the intersections of art, design, and architecture. His academic work reflects a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in fine arts and design, while also actively participating in conferences, workshops, and academic committees. Through his publications and teaching, Hamed has played an important role in shaping the academic and professional development of students in the department.
Careers
I am Mr. Hamed Shaban Algeblawi. I began my academic career as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Department of Fine Arts, at the University of Tripoli in 1991/1992. I obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture, with a specialization in Interior Design, from Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic in 2006–2007. I received my appointment decision on December 31, 2007, and since then, I have been teaching with my Master’s degree from 2007 until 2015.
During this period, I taught the following courses: Technical Drawing, Industrial Design, Materials Technology I, Furniture Design, Interior Design (I, II, III, IV), Architectural Drawing, Fundamentals of Design, Artistic Perspective, and Working Drawings.
In addition, I supervised many graduation projects for students of the Interior Design Department. I also served as a member of the Academic Equivalency Committee for curriculum courses at the Faculty of Arts and Media from 2012 to 2015. Furthermore, I was a member of the Preparatory Committee for the 3rd Libyan Architectural Day in 2015, and a member of the Curriculum Development Committee for the Secondary School of Arts and Media at the Educational Aids and Supplies Authority in 2001–2002.
Research Interests
I participated in the First Scientific Conference on the Reality of Design and Architecture in Libya, organized by the Faculty of Arts and Media, University of Tripoli, Libya, on May 3–4, 2015. My participation included presenting a research paper entitled “Color and Its Impact as an Aesthetic Element in Interior Architecture”, another paper entitled “Light Pollution”, and a further study entitled “The Architectural and Climatic Characteristics of the Courtyard in the Residential Architecture of the Old City of Tripoli”, in addition to many other scientific papers.
External Activities
I have participated in numerous activities, festivals, and exhibitions in the field of interior design within Libya. In 2014, I took part in the “Libya Balad” exhibition as a coordinator of the Interior Design pavilion. I have also participated in the events of Interior Design Days at international festivals abroad.
