Roles

since I've been allocated as a faculty member in the department of conservative dentistry and endodontics, in a position of assistant lecturer with postgraduate degree in the speciality of Endodontics. I have been assigned various tasks that include, teaching , training and research.

the assigned tasks can be summarized as the following:

• teaching (theoretical part) undergraduate students of second , third and fourth year .
• during the pandemic, I've participated in preparing and recording lectures which were taught On line.
• preclinical instructor and supervisor of undergraduate  of the second , third and fourth year students.
• clinical supervisor and mentor of the the fourth year undergraduate students.
• participating in preparing , editing and supervision of the midterm and final exams for the undergrads.
• preparation of the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE ) for the bachelor's students of dental faculty .
• member of academic appeal committee in the dental faculty.
• head of supervisors during the final exams of the fourth year students.
• coordinator of quality and performance in the department of conservative dentistry and endodontics.
• preparing and editing the reports of the curriculum , midterm and final performance reports.
• among the tasks, that related to the scientific research, is working with my colleagues in participating and conducting some articles (scientific papers) in the field of dentistry .
• Since 2022 , I have been chosen as a member among  the team of the quality and performance assurance in the dental faculty -University of Tripoli.
•  
• member of the preparatory committee of the international conference of dental science ICDS 2023 at the dental faculty -university of Tripoli.
• recently I have been chosen as a memeber of the committee of the quality assurance and accreditation of the educational and  dental training programs in the dental faculty - University of Tripoli.

considering all the responsibilities related to the tasks and roles that mentioned previously , allowed me to expand my knowledge and develop prorper communication ability  , in addition gave me the opportunity to learn and refine my teaching and training skills.

Careers

In 2002 I received my bachelor degree of dentistry (BDS) and since then I started to work as an assistant .I received a governmental scholarship to get my master degree in Endodontics MClin Dent(Endo) from Cardiff university -school of dentistry in 2012. as well as  I got membership diploma (MEndoRCSEd) from the royal collage of surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013.

Research Interests

Among my many research interests is studying a dental material known as mineral trioxide aggregate( MTA)  and its properties related to the field of endodontics. Currently, I am interested in various studies and research related to Regenerative Endodontics and Endodontic microbiology, developing teaching and learning skills, and acquiring and refining scientific research skills.

External Activities

March 2022, I was one of the speakers at the scientific meeting (Pink day) , that organised by Tripoli dental council.

January 2020 , participating in campaign about the oral and dental health at ISM school.
