Mrs Sarah Tuwati started her work at the university as an clinical demonstrator in 2009, and after obtaining a scholarship from the Libyan Higher Ministry of Education, and obtaining a Master's degree (MDPH) with Merit, at the end of 2015 from the United Kingdom - University of Sheffield, she returned to her previous work as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the University of Tripoli.

She began her work in cooperation with colleagues in the Department of Preventive dentsitry by developing the curriculum components and, as an assistant lecturer, gave theoretical and practical lectures to third and fourth year students. It is also an essential part of her work to attend periodic and urgent sraff meetings of the department or the dental school in general.

Among the duties assigned to Mrs Tuwati; is the practical and theoretical evaluation of third and fourth year students in addition to personal supervision by monitoring the progress of exams in all subjects, especially department subjects, and then working with colleagues to review and revise before displaying and publishing the results.

Sarah worked with the rest of the members of the Orthodontics, Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine Department to supervise the clinical training of interns at the former teaching hospital of the college. Mrs. Tuwati also shows a special interest in the dental public health of children in the community and the determinants of the disease that may make certain groups more susceptible to any disease than others. Ms. Tuwati has worked since her graduation and continues to work as a practicing general dentist with a greater interest in providing treatment services to marginalized groups in society, such as people with disabilities and children.
