  1. Compiling and presenting monthly communicable disease surveillance reports for internal use by Health Department staff, including;

a.      An analysis of reportable disease and syndromic surveillance (HDSIMS) data: HDSIM: Health Department Schools Illness Monitoring System

    1. A summary of laboratory and post-exposure prophylaxis surveillance data
  1. Assisting with the routine follow-up of cases, including:
    1. Reviewing and cataloguing relevant clinical and laboratory information;
    2. Classifying suspected cases using a standardized tool;
  2. Conducting quality assurance reviews of communicable disease case investigations and/or laboratory specimen submissions using standardized tools
  3. Delivering a brief presentation to Communicable Disease Unit staff on a timely and relevant topic of interest. 

5.      Assisting with Outbreak investigations.  Tasks include:

    1. Questionnaire administration and data entry
    2. Assisting with the creation of epidemiologic  curves and other tools for hypothesis generation
    3. Assisting with data cleaning and analysis.

6.      Conducting applied research

In addition Dr. Berbash played an important role in forming the policies and regulations of the dental school, those policies which impact academic programs and services to students and facilitate the academic and professional life of the faculty.

moreover, Dr. Berbash had a role in quality assurance office in the dental school, she was responsible of the process for checking that the standards and quality of higher education provision meet agreed expectations. This includes national frameworks for higher education, Professional, Statutory and Regulatory bodies and Apprenticeship Standards.

Furthermore, Dr. Berbash has enormous contributions in dental school research, she had published several researches in the field of oral epidemiology and public health, with skills in field of health promotion, program planning, study proposal and grant writing, health service management, research in public health, community dentistry, oral health related quality of life, oral epidemiology, organizing fundraising events, community outreach, media communication, health care advocacy.
