Roles

Raja Othman Barioun is a faculty member in the Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry. Ms. Raja Othman has been working at the University of Tripoli as an assistant lecturer since 25/2/2013. She has many scientific publications in her field of specialization, in addition to her participation in many scientific conferences and forums. After publishing research papers in refereed scientific journals, she was promoted to the rank of lecturer since 22\11\2017. She is now waiting for the arbitration committee to promote her to the rank of assistant professor after publishing three scientific papers in collaboration with a number of colleagues in different specializations. She focused in this research on the practical aspect in many hospitals and health centers in Tripoli, in an effort to provide everything new and useful in the progress of scientific research at the University of Tripoli.

Careers

In 2007, I worked as a demonestrator in the Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Tripoli. After obtaining my master’s degree, I started working as an assistant lecturer in the same college in 2013. In 2017, I published a research paper in local Libyan journals and obtained the academic degree of lecturer.

Research Interests

Ms. Raja is classified as an active researcher and has published many research papers in a number of journals including the Khalij-Libya Journal of Dental and Medical Research and Al-Qalam Journal of Medical and Applied Sciences. She has participated in many scientific conferences in the capital Tripoli. Her research interests are broad but focus mainly on research in the field of periodontology and implantology. 

External Activities

She has participated as an associate professor in the undergraduate examinations at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Zawiya and the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sirte.
