Dr. Asmaa Shanab is a faculty member in Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery \ University of Tripoli.  Ms. Dr. Asmaa Shanab has worked at the University of Tripoli since July 7, 2014 AD as an assistant lecturer for the oral pathology course. She has many scientific publications in her field of specialization and obtained a scientific degree as a lecturer from 08-03-2021 AD. Currently, Mrs. Dr. Asmaa Shanab is the Head of the Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and oral and maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Faculty since 05-10-2023.

Careers

Mrs. Dr. Asmaa Shanab obtained a Bachelor of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery, University of Tripoli, Tripoli-Libya 2005.  She joined the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery as a Demonstrator in the Oral Pathology Unit \ Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department on 1-7-2008.

Mrs.  Dr. Asmaa Shanab obtained a Master's degree in Dentistry \ Oral Pathology, from Cairo University, Cairo \ Egypt on 25-3-2014 AD. She worked as a faculty member in the Oral Pathology Unit \ Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery \ University of Tripoli with a scientific degree on 06-07-2014.  She obtained the degree as a lecturer on 08-03-2021.

Mrs.  Dr. Asmaa Shanab was assigned several scientific, administrative, and committees in the faculty, including a scientific coordinator for the Oral Pathology course for students of the third academic year since 15-06-2022, and membership of objective review committees, investigation committees, and the Supreme Committee for the conduct of examinations at the faculty.

In addition to the previous tasks, Mrs.  Dr. Asmaa. Shanab was assigned the duties of Head of Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and oral and maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Faculty.

Research Interests

Mrs. Dr. Asmaa Shanab is interested in research areas related to her specialization in oral and dental medicine and surgery in general and oral pathology in particular, and she has many scientific publications in her field of specialization and articles in progress.

External Activities

Participate in many scientific forums in its field of specialization and attend frequent workshops related to scientific research.
