Roles

Lecturer & Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Tripoli University Hospital, University of Tripoli faculty of Dentistry and Lecture in Oral Surgery  for 3rd and 4th year students.  My  specialist interest in Oral and maxillofacial surgeon has reinforced my interest in medical education.  This experience will   help me to develop relevant skills to become effective educator in medical education to work more effectively with students and trainees in Oral surgery.   

Careers

I graduated from the University of Tripoli in 2000. Following this he undertook several training Hospital posts in Libya and the United Kingdom during which he gained his postgraduate specialty and fellowship exam. He was appointed as assistant lecturer at the University of Tripoli faculty of Dentistry in 2008 and became Lecturer in 2013 and gained his PhD in the field of peripheral nerve repair in 2018. I also worked as specialist surgeon oral and maxillofacial surgery Department at Tripoli University Hospital.

Research Interests

I have extensive experience in Oral and maxillofacial surgery and has a special interest in Dentoalveolar surgery,  orofacial trauma,  facial skin lesions , and dental implant and related hard and soft tissue augmentation. 

External Activities

My previous and current role as specialist Oral and maxillofacial surgeon has reinforced my interest in medical education.  This experience will   help me to develop relevant skills to become effective educator in medical education to work more effectively with students and trainees in Oral surgery.  My interest to purse this career which I believe it will be stimulating environment for learning.  I had previous experience in conference presentations with excellent work and recreation facilities and commitment to support others to be able to balance my interest and passion in education in Oral surgery.  I am recognized examiner at the Libyan board of Oral and maxillofacial surgery and Examiner board for the Royal college of Surgeon of Edinburgh
